Lubbock County Commissioners Approve Restrictions to Keep Alcohol Away from Minors
The request for the alcohol restrictions came from the Lubbock-Cooper ISD. Superintendent Pat Henderson was on hand for the meeting.
The restrictions prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages within 300 feet of public and private schools, plus churches. Henderson says the district wants to maintain a safe, alcohol–free environment for students. There are about 2200 students in the Woodrow area.
