The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will host a series of seminars this fall.

The Chamber University Fall Seminars will begin on Tuesday, October 8th, with the initial seminar focusing on Human Resources.

The seminar will run from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Griffith Center, located at 5219 City Bank Parkway.

The agenda features local subject matter experts, including:

  • Answering Your Questions About the Affordable Care Act: Mark Hobgood, director of sales, FirstCare Health Plans
  • Developing a Social Media Policy for Your Business: Rodney Cates, senior human resources director, Suddenlink
  • “Lessons Learned”: John Bigan, director of human resources, Goodwill Industries of Northwest Texas
  • HR Panel Discussion, moderated by Dr. Kathy Crockett of Lubbock Christian University with Ronn Garcia, Underwood Law Firm; Rodney Cates, John Bigan, and Mark Hobgood

The cost to attend the seminar is $75, but Chamber members get a discounted price of $65. Changes to reservations may be made until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 4th.
