Lubbock Area Republican Women Host Monthly Meeting

Lubbock Area Republican Women will host their next meeting on Thursday, August 17 at Hillcrest Country Club at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This month’s speaker is U.S. Representative Jodey Arrington.

Congressman Arrington was elected in 2016 as the 5th representative to serve the 19th Congressional District which was created in 1935. He serves on the Veterans Affairs Committee and is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. Jodey also serves on the Budget and Agriculture Committees.

Lubbock Area Republican Women meet the 3rd Thursday of each month. The organization focuses on education and information to the public on local, state and federal issues and candidates. Membership is open to all adult women and men and encourages participation of young people who are interested in learning more about involvement in political issues.
