Local Family Rejects the Cause of Nephew’s Death

A local family is fighting for justice after being told their nephew died from a fall with reports calling the incident accidental.

27-year-old Robert Huerta Jr.'s family was told he fell and hit his head on a cement floor which caused his death in UMC. The family believes that a fight he was in just ten days earlier was the real cause. Huerta was involved in an argument ten days prior to his death. Huerta's Uncle Ricardo Jimenez said the argument got physical and Huerta was held down by four people while another man beat him.

The family sites the intensity of the injuries as coming from more than just a fall.

The family is upset with the final verdict on cause of death and want the now closed investigation to be opened up and pursued further.
