Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show, Mike Laughlin from Llano Estacado Winery, joined Hasty in the KFYO studio to talk about this weekend's Grape Days celebration.

The 23rd annual Grape Days takes place this Saturday, October 08, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will also be celebrating 40 years of Texas wine making, and will include food trucks, arts, crafts and local vendors, bounce houses for children, and live music with Bo Garza and friends.

While describing the grape harvest this year on the South Plains, Laughlin said,

This is some of the best quality red grapes we've ever seen.

Grape Days is open to the public, with $5 admission at the door. Admission includes a commemorative wine glass and one complimentary glass of wine, and there will be forty different wines available for tasting.

Llano will also be hosting the third Texas Wine Half Marathon and 5K which benefits the Southwest Parkinson Society. Registration for the marathon includes admission into Grape Day. More information about the run and registration can be found at texaswineseries.com/winehome.asp.
