Lee Ann Dumbauld is seeking the Republican nomination for Lubbock County Commissioner in Precinct 1.

On Wednesday, she was endorsed by State Representative Dustin Burrows. And Thursday afternoon, she received the endorsement from another member of the Lubbock delegation in the Texas Legislature.

State Senator Charles Perry has announced his endorsement of Dumbauld by saying that her addition to the commissioners court would be a "great addition to the positive changes happening at the county commissioners court."

"Lee Ann Dumbauld is the clear choice for the Lubbock County Commission," he said. "Her ability in public finance will be a great addition to the positive changes happening at the county commissioner’s court. I recommend that your vote go to Lee Ann."

Dumbauld is running for the seat that has been held by Commissioner Bill McKay, who's retiring. Dumbauld is being challenged by Terence Kovar and Major Garza.

Early voting for the March 3rd primary runs through Friday, February 28th. Election Day is March 3rd.
