Last-Minute Plans: What to Do in Lubbock on Sat. November 12, 2022
If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend but aren’t sure where to start, I've got you covered. There are plenty of local events happening all around Lubbock this weekend, but if you are having a hard time deciding which ones to check out, you can simply follow this plan.
As many of you know, Lubbock is going to get very cold this weekend, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy being outside during the day. This Saturday, November 12, 2022, the Ranching Heritage Center is putting on one of their Living History Saturdays.
This is an opportunity to explore the park while they have volunteers make history come to life. Similar to the annual Candlelight at the Ranch, volunteers will be dressed in historically accurate outfits to make you feel like you’ve gone back in time. These volunteers will be available to answer questions, perform living history demonstrations, and give tours of some of the historical structures.
The event goes from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., so you have plenty of time to walk around and enjoy the crisp fall air. This also means that you will have plenty of time to grab a late lunch or early dinner before heading over to the next event in these plans.
After grabbing some grub and relaxing in the afternoon, pout on your dancing shoes because you’re heading to the YWCA for a dance party.
Social Dance Lubbock is hosting a dance party this Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for $10 per person. While they usually have a lesson prior to the dance party, this time will just be focused on social dancing. If you want to practice your two-step, salsa, line dances, or any other style, this is a good opportunity. They will play a variety of music and requests are welcome. So, bring a dance partner and have some fun.
