Lane Closures Planned for East Loop 289 Project
On Monday, August 19th, the Texas Department of Transportation will close the north and southbound lanes of East Loop 289 from 19th Street to Spur 331.
This will allow crews to mill the road, make repairs and place a new surface on the roadway.
This is all part of a $13.8 million project to make road and bridge repairs, place new road surfaces, and replace metal guard beam fences with concrete barriers.
Speed limits have been reduced by 10 mph through the active work zones. Drivers are urged to pay attention and slow down as they enter the work area.
