Texas Tech women’s basketball will support Breast Cancer Awareness Month at this weekend’s game.

The Lady Raiders are planning to wear their pink uniforms as they go up against Iowa State at 1:30 p.m.Sunday at the United Spirit Arena.

The team will be taking part in the “Play 4 Kay” and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, which is an opportunity for coaches to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Fans that wear pink to the game can purchase tickets for $5 in the lower bowl and upper balcony. The first 500 fans to arrive will get a free set of pink pom-poms. A health fair will also be conducted on the West concourse beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Before the game, United Supermarkets and General Mills will present a check to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund for $10,000, and a $5,000 presentation for the Marsha Sharp Leadership Circle.
