Just Some Of What I Experienced In Las Vegas During the Super Bowl LVIII Weekend

Super Bowl LVIII was a great matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. The game was decided in overtime with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs winning and Super Bowl. And thank goodness the Chiefs won. Let's just say it was a good bet. What made the game even more interesting was the location.
Super Bowl LVIII was the first Super Bowl played in Las Vegas. And while it may have been the first time, it won't be the last time Las Vegas will host.
When this year's location was announced, my family made plans to go. No matter which teams made the big game, we were going to go. For one, we enjoy a few nights in Las Vegas. The food, the bets, the people watching. Las Vegas is enjoyable. Secondly, we are NFL fans. Combine the NFL Super Bowl experience with Las Vegas? What's not to love?
I want to make it real clear. I did not attend the actual game. Like so many others who traveled to Las Vegas, we went to some activities, but with the average ticket price of $9,000, we passed on going to the game and instead hit up a great watch party.
The biggest fear I had about the trip was the crowds and lines. And let me just say, Las Vegas did all they could to get people moving and to keep people having a good time. Even at the NFL Experience, the lines moved fairly quickly. Las Vegas knows how to handle crowds and they did a great job with those attending the Super Bowl festivities.
Most fans I came across seemed happy (except some upset 49ers fans after the game) and in a good mood just about the entire time. The worst part was traffic on the Strip in the evening.
Below you will see just some of the pictures I took in Las Vegas. Some are from the Strip where CBS Sports was setup, others from the NFL Experience, and a concert on Freemont Street, plus the Super Bowl watch party.
