Josh Abbott Band Says ‘We Did Not Make a Political Statement’ After Las Vegas Shooting

In response to national headlines about Josh Abbott Band lead guitarist Caleb Keeter's pro-gun control statement, the band's Twitter account tweeted out a response.

"We need gun control RIGHT. NOW," Keeter said in a statement on Twitter Monday morning.

The guitarist said he was a major supporter of Second Amendment rights "until the events of last night."

More than 50 people were killed in the shooting and 500+ were injured. The Josh Abbott Band was in Las Vegas during the shooting and were evacuated from their hotel. All the band and crew members, as well as Josh Abbott's fiancee, were unharmed.
