January 25 School Snow Delays For Lubbock and Surrounding Areas

The Lubbock area was hit with a record amount of snow this week and many schools were cancelled but after that snow day it's time to send the kiddos back to school. It is very unlikely that schools will be cancelled today due to a snow day this week already. A complete list of school delays for 10 a.m., or 2 hours delays, will be below.

• Abernathy ISD: 10:00 a.m. with buses on pavement only
• Anton ISD: Two-hour delay
• Christ the King Schools: 10:00 a.m.
• Cotton Center ISD: 10:00 a.m. with buses on pavement only
• Denver City ISD: 10:00 a.m.
• Floydada ISD: 10:00 a.m. with buses on pavement only
• Frenship ISD: Two-hour delay
• Hale Center ISD: 10:00 a.m. with buses on pavement only
• High Point Village: 2 Hour Delay
• Idalou ISD:  10 a.m.; Buses 2 hours late and on pavement only
• Kingdom Prep Academy: 10:00 a.m.
• Kress ISD: 10 a.m.; Buses 2 hours late and on pavement only

A few schools have also selected to start at 11 a.m. such as Calvary Weekday and all South Plains College campuses. Some local daycare facilities will also be starting late today such as:

• Belle’s & Beau’s Childcare Center: 10:00 a.m.
• Elite Learning Academy I & II: 10:00 a.m.
• Little Precious Steps Daycare: 10:00 a.m.
• New World Christian Learning Center: 10:00 a.m.

The community Health Center of Lubbock Clinics, Texas Tech Physicians and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center clinics, and Lubbock Central Appraisal Districts will also be open at 10 a.m. this morning. Plainview residents that receive meals from Meals on Wheels will also have to use their emergency meals today since they are closed.
