James Dickey, Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, joined The Chad Hasty Show on Wednesday to discuss the current state of the Republican Party of Texas and what challenges lay ahead in 2020.

Dickey discussed new initiatives the Texas GOP will be rolling out for 2020. The new initiatives will help recruit volunteers and voters ahead of the 2020 election. Dickey expressed concern for how the state is trending and the need for Republicans to blunt the Democrat push to turn the state blue.

Dickey also discussed a possible challenge he may face from Allen West.

Dickey will appear in Lubbock at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center on the campus of Texas Tech University at 5:30 p.m. for an event hosted by State Rep. Dustin Burrows on Wednesday.
