Everything is always bigger in Texas of course and even though I love the great state, there are some places that I do try to avoid like maybe some of the dangerous diverse landscapes in Texas. If you’re anything like me, you’re not a fan of high places Or driving.

According to A-Z Animals, Jefferson County is probably a place you want to avoid especially because it’s known for the most terrifying bridge in the great state of Texas. Large bridges and heights are the recipe for anxiety in my case and I will try to avoid that as much as possible. Rainbow Bridge sits at 210 feet and is structured across the Neches River which is a part of state highways 83 and 73 that connects to the city of Port Arthur, which is in Jefferson County, and with the bridge connecting in Orange County.

KEEP YOUR EYES  FORWARD, IT MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE

This design was created and constructed in 1936 and 1938 only using concrete and steel to meet together to make the bridge which alone just doesn’t sound safe to me. When leaving Houston and heading towards New Orleans, you will see this particular bridge, and trust me from experience, it is terrifying! As the bridge goes into a very unattractive angle, the instant fear is your vehicle falling headfirst into the river and there have been reports of individuals being hospitalized and children even being killed due to Rainbow Bridge. Texans want to know why hasn’t this particular bridge been altered or taken down and in reality, it is, the structure that allows us to get across the actual river. Keep in mind when driving on the Rainbow Bridge to stay attentive, and eyes forward. It could save your LIFE!
