Lubbock Local Opens New Personable Check Cashing & Convenience Store

A locally-owned convenience store is now open and offer cash checking as well as food and drinks.

Roadies is Lubbock's newest convenience store and it offers check cashing, drinks, food, lottery tickets and a loyalty program.

They cash almost all checks along with a convenience store that has beer, wine, cigarettes, breakfast burritos from Stacked, sandwiches for lunch, and fountain drinks with good ice. They have coffee from Daybreak.

They sandwiches they have are Boar's Head and the bread is homemade, freshly sliced every day.

For the lotto, they have Texas lotto, scratch offs and Mexican lotto, Loteria.

Anna Jimenez, managing partner of Roadies and life-long West Texas resident, said her goal is to make an impact on the quality of life in her community.

"People come in and ask do y'all have so and so or this beer. If we don't have it I'll get it for them because they are regulars. We have regulars, like, for our tobacco. He comes in and buys, like, 2 every other day, and we make sure that we stock up on that. We want to make it a bit more personable." said Jimenez.

They serve burritos every morning. They are open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 7 PM, and on Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are closed on Sundays.
