Lubbock Last-Minute Plans: Mother’s Day, Live Music, and More
The time has come once again for me to share with you some of the great last-minute plans you can make here in the Hub City. So, let’s see what events are happening May 12 through 15.
Friday
This Friday is full of opportunities to catch some live music, or even a comedy show.
The Red Zone Sports Bar is hosting a standup comedy night starting at 9:00 p.m. You can also head over to Triple J Chophouse, The Spoon, Pecan Grill at the Overton Hotel, or Jake’s Backroom for some live music.
You can also catch Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical at the Lubbock community theatre or a double feature of The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Rally Road Racers or Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves at Stars & Stripes Drive-In Theatre.
Saturday
Saturday is a great day to get some shopping done, especially if you are looking for something to get your mom this Mother’s Day.
There is the Thrift City Market with Rewind, the Wolfforth Farmers Market, and Lubbock’s new Uptown Cheapskate store is officially open. If shopping isn’t your thing, there are a few other great options around town.
You can head to the National Ranching Heritage Center for their Living History Saturdays, volunteer at The Volunteer Garden, participate in a Ropes Course Workout at Adventure Park, or adopt a new furry friend at the Gene Messer Adoption event.
Lastly, you can make your way to the YWCA Sun ‘n Fun for the Bachata dance lesson hosted by Social Dance Lubbock.
Sunday
If you are looking for something fun to do with your mom this Mother’s day, there are a few great brunch and other options. See the gallery below for more information.
