Yet again, the weekend has arrived, and so have your last-minute plans. This is my way of helping you plan out your weekend by giving you the details on a few great events happening in and around Lubbock each weekend.

Prairie Dog Fest

This is a great event for the whole family and consists of a day of fun. From 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 23rd, Mackenzie Park will be the home of the new Prairie Dog Festival. There will be food trucks, shopping, fun activities, and the chance to enjoy nature while taking a look at Lubbock’s most iconic critter, the prairie dog.

Build a Bonsai

If you love nature, but at a smaller scale, you will love The Dutch House of Plants’ Build-a-Bonsai workshop. It is on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. and is your chance to learn how to create and care for your very own bonsai.

You can sign up online to attend and get a 4” bonsai starter, a care brochure, and everything else you need to make your own unique little tree to take home.

Journey

Music lovers are stoked for this Friday, because Journey is coming to the United Supermarkets Arena with TOTO for an unforgettable concert.

Easter

This weekend is the last weekend before Easter, so Lubbock is full of a variety of great Easter events for the whole family. Keep scrolling for a full list of Lubbock Easter events for this year.
