A horrific Texas man is behind bars after police discover brutal abuse to a 1-month-old baby.

INFANT SUFFERS BURN WOUND

31-year-old David Botello was confronted by San Antonio Police when his 1-month-old baby was checked into the hospital, The infant was taken in due to a burn wound on her right arm.

When Police were called in, Botello revealed he had accidentally dropped a lighter on his infant's arm. According to his affidavit, Botello said he didn't immediately seek treatment and tried to conceal the injury.

MEDICAL EXAM REVEALS STARTLING TRUTH

However, medical evaluations revealed a history of improper care and sad abuse. Along with a burn wound, the infant had a variety of injuries in various stages of healing. The 1-month-old had a broken leg, foot, and ribs.

When questioned about the startling injuries, Botello admitted he would squeeze the baby when he became frustrated. Investigators said, “He admitted to using enough pressure to cause her injuries."

Police arrested Botello and charged him with injury to a serious bodily injury with intent or knowledge, a first-degree felony, and injury to a child with intent, a third-degree felony; he had his bond set at $115,000.
