Felony Arrests In Nacogdoches County Oct 12 – 18

There are currently 306 inmates in the Nacogdoches County Jail, 11 of whom are pretrial Class A and B Misdemeanor offenders.

This report focuses on the 210 pretrial felons (185 male and 25 female). There are 29 pretrial state jail felons and 56 in the "all other" category.

There were 3,888 bookings in and out of jail in 2024. The 10 pretrial and state jail felons pictured below were arrested in and near Nacogdoches, Texas from October 12 - 18, 2024.

Inmate In Nacogdoches Also Recently Arrested In Lufkin

Looking through the names of the felony arrests in Nacogdoches County, one stood out. 22-year-old Jessica Leanne Baker of Lufkin was arrested in Angelina County back in September and received two felony drug charges.

One was a third-degree felony, and the other was a state jail felony. I can only imagine she was out on bail for those charges awaiting her day in court.

This week she was arrested in Nacogdoches County with similar charges, but with a caveat. This time she was also charged with tampering with a government record in an attempt to defraud or harm, along with state jail-level felony drug charges.

Prostitution Charge In Nacogdoches County Felony Arrests

Arrests for prostitution in Nacogdoches County are fairly rare. Billy Sheares, 59, was arrested for prostitution and involved a woman under the age of 18.

This is a second-degree felony, and he also got two state jail felony drug charges. A 17-year-old was arrested for prostitution in Nacogdoches County recently, although she did not receive a felony charge like the inmates below.
