Have you ever wondered what some of our most famous landmarks look like from space? Living in Texas, we're used to things being massive in scale. When you zoom out, however, everything gets a lot smaller. For instance, take the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.

What The Cadillac Ranch In Amarillo Texas Looks Like From Space

Cadillac Ranch has an interesting as quirky as the art installation itself. According to legend, it was members of the art group Ant Farm that came up with the idea. They got a list together of eccentric and wealthy individuals to scrounge up money for a project, and they got in touch with Stanley Marsh 3. The rest is history.

The Cadillac Ranch has been featured in all kinds of artistic endeavors since. From album covers and music videos, to getting a nod in a book about the Sex Pistols. Celebrities stop by to take selfies for social media. People from all over the world make a trip to leave their mark on one of the cars.

So, what does our beloved field of cars look like from space?

It's interesting how much bigger it seems to be in person. People look like ants, which I find somewhat ironic given the origins of our beloved row-o-cadillacs.

Keep zooming out, and the Cadillacs themselves begin to look like ants.

Can You See The Cadillac Ranch In Amarillo, Texas From Space?

Not very well. It's incredible. When you visit the Cadillac Ranch, the cars tower over you. When you zoom out, this icon of Route 66 gets harder and harder to distinguish.

You can't see the cars anymore. The people have long disappeared from view. The only indication that this is the Cadillac Ranch is the road from the highway that looks like a curly piece of hair that fell out of place, or a nose. I can totally see a nose.
