Psst…Here’s Where to Find Some Really Great Eats in Lubbock

The best food in town isn't just in restaurants or at your granny's house. No. Believe it or not, some of the tastiest bites around can be found in the parking lot of a popular sporting goods store. Does that ring any bells? If not, you're missing out.

On any given day, you can find delicious grub right in front of Cardinals Sporting Goods off 65th and Slide. There is usually a food truck parked there during the lunch hour. If you haven't dropped by to check one out, I highly recommend doing so. I've had everything from lobster rolls to Thai food in that parking lot.

It might sound weird to ask your coworkers if they want to go to Cardinals for lunch, but it's a thing. Food trucks are more popular than ever in the 806. We seriously have some really good ones! It's only a matter of time before some of them become brick-and-mortar restaurants.

One food truck you need to check out is Llano Cubano. If you spot them while you're driving around town, don't keep driving! Pull over and get a Cuban sandwich. You'll thank me later.

Support our local food trucks by stopping for a bite. You might find some new favorites! Don't skip out on the trucks parked in front of Cardinals Sporting Goods. If you overindulge, you can wander over there for a pair of new workout clothes. It's a win-win for everyone...
