I going to admit, I was going to do this as a "roast", but truthfully, I think it's more entertaining to take these suggestions at face value and describe why they are or aren't valid choices. Here are ten things that ChatGPT say make up a  "Pefect Day" in Lubbock, Texas.

I don't know anybody who would get up just to watch the sun rise. I will say that it is absolutely spectacular here more days that not. I'm not sure many artists could capture what we see on a day to day basis.

2. Cool Morning Breeze

Okay, we're going to say ChatGPT got this one wrong. It's unlikely that we have a "cool morning breeze here". Chances are in Lubbock it's either windy or deathly still

3. Coffee At A Local Café/Breakfast At A Diner

These two were given as three and four for the suggestions. I've combined them into one. We have quite a number of great places for breakfast from Stacked, to IHOP, to one of my favorite sneak-aways, Rosa's (only some locations).

4. Morning Visit To Buddy Holly Center

Well, the Buddy Holly Center opens at 10, so you might want to linger over your coffee from the previous entry.

5. Explore The Depot District

There's not a heck of a lot to do in the Depot District until later in the day. I'd say you punt this idea until later when you might take in a show or just people watch.

6. Browsing the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market

This "perfect day" entry is only good on Saturdays, and only from May 31st to October 18th. It's also best to hit it right when it opens at 9:00 a.m., so maybe bump this to right after breakfast and before your visit to the Buddy Holly Center.

7. Taking A Walk Around Mackenzie Park

This one might be nicer than you think. Taking yourself or your dogs out for a walk might be kind of peaceful.

8. Lunch At A BBQ Joint

This entry has a little more insight than I think it even realizes. Many of our barbeque joints sell out before dinner, so lunch is a sure bet.

9. Afternoon Hike At The Lubbock Lake Landmark

Again, a great endeavor that everybody should do once, but this now makes two walks/hikes in one day. Maybe just chose one or the other.

10. Visiting Texas Tech University

It's probably best if you have some kind of plan if you're visiting TTU. You don't want to be just a creep wandering around. I'd say drop by Raider Red Meats, and pick up something to cook for dinner, or some other local products. I think you could probably soak up enough vibe just doing that.

While not a bad day, this computer generated "perfect day" lacks a bit. I would add "dinner at a Tex-Mex restaurant" and maybe "cold beer on the porch as the sun sets". Just those two could complete "a perfect day in Lubbock".
