Hope Lodge Requesting Donations For Cancer Patients and Caregivers [AUDIO]
On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Mark Stevens from the Hope Lodge talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about how the lodge helps cancer patients.
Hope Lodge is a service of the American Cancer Society that provides free lodging and transportation for cancer patients and their caregivers while they are receiving treatment. Stevens said this Hope Lodge is unique because it is the only Hope Lodge in Texas. Patients wanting to stay at the lodge must live at least 40 miles or an hour away from the treatment center in order to qualify.
The Hope Lodge is currently seeking donations of supplies for the rooms in the lodge. Items requested include cleaning supplies, toiletries, and kitchen staples. Monetary donations are also welcome.
For more information or to donate to the Hope Lodge, you can call them at 745-0700 or you can visit the American Cancer Society website at cancer.org.
