Things continue to get better and better at Buddy Holly Hall as more performances are added to the list of already great shows and acts. Soon, it will be year two of Broadway at The Buddy Holly Hall. And the new season is already shaping up to be great.

The American Theatre Guild is bringing some of the best of Broadway to The Buddy Holly Hall for the 2022-23 season, and three of the shows will be Season Membership performances.

The season begins with a performance of Hairspray, October 10th-12th, 2022. Fiddler on the Roof comes to town January 30th-February 1st, 2023, Dear Evan Hansen is April 4th-9th, 2023, Tootsie is June 5th-7th 2023, and finally the big one, Hamilton, July 19th-30th, 2023.

The two-week run of Hamilton in Lubbock at The Buddy Holly Hall means that those who've been excited to see the historical musical should have a good chance of catching a performance while it's here.

So what is the big deal about Hamilton? According to American Theatre Guild, it's the blend of hip hop, jazz and other music, combined with the storytelling about one of America's Founding Fathers:

HAMILTON is the story of America then, told by America now. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, HAMILTON has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theatre—a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics, and education.

Get tickets as soon as you can. Even though this show isn't in Lubbock until 2023, it's going to be a hot ticket. You can get more information and find out how to get season tickets by visiting The Buddy Holly Hall website.
