Another member of the Bush Family will enter the political arena.

George Prescott Bush, son former Florida Governor Jeb and nephew of former President George W. Bush, announced on Facebook Tuesday that he is running Texas Land Commissioner in 2014.

The announcement ends months of speculation of which office the young Bush will pursue in Texas to follow the political legacy of his family.

In November, speculation of George P. running for political office took off when a letter sent by his father, Jeb, to supporters about his son's intention of running for office (Story).

In the letter Jeb writes,

“The office that George is considering running for is Land Commissioner which overseas the mineral rights, commercial real estate owned and sovereign submerged lands of the State of Texas as well as veterans affairs and historic archives.”
