The nephew of a former United States President has now taken an office with the Republican Party of Texas.

George Prescott Bush, the nephew of former President George W. Bush and the son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, has agreed to serve as the deputy finance chairman for the Republican Party of Texas.

George P. Bush founded Pennybacker Capital, which invests in and operates middle market multifamily, retail, office, and industrial assets in growth markets with a primary focus on the four major Texas markets.

Prior to Pennybacker Capital, Bush practiced corporate and securities law and also serves as a U.S. Naval Reserves Intelligence Officer.

“”His joining the RPT team will be a great assistance to us in expanding our donor base which in turn will provide the party with additional resources to support our candidates and build the party’s infrastructure,” said RPT Chairman Steve Munisteri.
