Gas prices increase in Lubbock and Texas.

According to this week’s KFYO News Gas Price Survey, the average price for retail gasoline in the Hub City is $3.30 per gallon, an increase of two cents from last week’s survey.

The increase in fuel comes the week before most public schools in Texas start the 2013-2014 Academic Year. Motorists in Lubbock were paying more at the pump last year at $3.43 per gallon and even less in August of 2010 at $2.55.

Statewide prices increased a penny to $3.42 a gallon according to AAA Texas. Nationally, prices also fell one cent to $3.53 per gallon.
