Fuel prices for motorists in Lubbock take a small dip before the Memorial Day weekend.

According to the weekly KFYO News Gas Price Survey, the average retail price of gas fell four cents this week to $3.31 per gallon.The falling prices stop four weeks of rising prices in the Hub City.

Fuel prices for the Lone Star State increased. AAA Texas reports prices rose two cents to $3.43 per gallon. The most expensive gas can be found in Amarillo at $3.74 per gallon while Corpus Christi is enjoying the lowest average at $3.33. Lubbock is not part of the AAA Survey.

AAA estimates nearly 3 million motorists will travel at least 50 miles away from their homes this holiday weekend.
