Garage Fires Erupt Near the Same Time in Central Lubbock Neighborhood

Investigators are searching for more information on two fires that erupted this morning in the South Overton neighborhood.

The fires broke out around 6:15 a.m. in two rear garages in the 2100 block of 16^th Street and in the 2100 block of 17^th Street within minutes of each other.

Both of the detached garages were destroyed, and fire officials have not yet ruled the fires as suspicious. No one was injured in the blazes.

Two other fires have broken out in the South Overton neighborhood within the last month. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crimeline at 741-1000.
