On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Dr. David Vroonland, superintendent of Frenship Independent School District, spoke with Chad and Rex about the upcoming school year.

Dr. Vroonland said that the new Heritage Middle School would be open this school year. He also said that the number of students has been increasing and

that they may be looking to open more elementary schools in the future. Dr. Vroonland also noted some new changes for the district, including the inclusion of a junior varsity soccer program and the transion form block scheduling to 7 period school days

Classes for Frenship ISD begin on Monday, August 22nd.
