Freeway Frontage Road at I-27 to Close for Construction

A frontage road on the Marsha Sharp Freeway will close this week.

The westbound frontage road at the freeway and I-27 will close to traffic for the next two weeks beginning on Wednesday, February 8^th.

TxDOT is closing the frontage road to allow crews to perform bridge work and to pour the last section of deck on the northbound I-27 bridge.

Motorists will be detoured north to Municipal Drive, where motorists will have the option of taking the southbound I-27 frontage road or Buddy Holly Avenue to reconnect with the freeway.

This portion of freeway construction is part of Phase 4 of the Marsha Sharp Freeway Project.
