On Monday, Lubbock ISD sent out a statement saying they had requested and accepted the immediate resignation of a former Estacado High School Nurse.

Thirty-year-old Danielle Nicole Montoya (pictured above) was charged with having an improper relationship with a student on Friday.

According to KAMC News, LISD Police Officers were called to Estacado High School after-hours on May 6th. Montoya claimed that she was threatened by a student.

The student's mother had reportedly looked through their child's cell phone and found messages between them and Montoya, which included allegations of a stolen wallet.

The student allegedly told their mother that they had a sexual relationship with Montoya.

Apparently, the student learned that Montoya possessed four guns, and the student wrote her a note threatening to tell people that she was having sexual relationships with other students if she would not give the guns to the student.

Montoya told her boss about the note, and that's why LISD Police were initially called.

Montoya was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center just before 1 p.m. Monday afternoon, and her bond was set at $2,500.
