A local church will host their annual Thanksgiving dinner.

First United Methodist Church of Lubbock will host their 21st annual Community-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, November 23rd.

The event will run from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at FUMC’s Christian Life Center, located on 13th Street between Avenues O and M.

The entire Lubbock-area community is invited to share the dinner made by volunteers with donations from local businesses.

FUMC expects to serve around 1,200 turkey dinners at the event.

Around 200 volunteers participate in the event. Since its inception in 1993, more than 22,000 people have received a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

All are invited to attend.
