Welcome to Election Day 2020. Millions of Americans have already voted and millions more will vote today. It will be a long and for many, a stressful day that may or may not end up with a result tonight. More on that later.

Polls in Lubbock County will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. And remember, if you are in line at 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote. To find a vote center location, click here to see a list from VoteLubbock.org.

By now you should know that your ballot will have more races than just the presidential race. Voters in Lubbock will select a mayor, vote for a U.S. senator, and pick their state representative, along with a handful of other campaigns and possible bond proposals depending on where you live and which school district you are with.

It's the race between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden that everyone will be paying attention to. On Tuesday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, we will spend a lot of time talking about this race and giving predictions.

Many have asked whether or not President Trump will win Texas. I believe he will. Texas may indeed be getting more blue, but it's not there yet. I think President Trump will win Texas, but it will be by less than his 9-point win in 2016. I think the president is looking at a 6-7 point win in 2020, and I believe that Senator John Cornyn will win re-election as well, with a 7-8 point win over MJ Hegar.

I believe the Republican state representatives in our area will win re-election easily. State Representatives John Frullo and Dustin Burrows will once again be representing our area in the Texas Legislature. Tuesday should also bring an easy win for Congressman Jodey Arrington as well.

The race for mayor in Lubbock will be interesting to watch. I believe that Mayor Dan Pope will win re-election, but 2020 has showed us that anything could happen and there has never been a moment like this for a virtual unknown like Stephen Sanders to surprise many and win. There's no doubt that Sanders has his supporters. It's a mix of folks who are disappointed in Pope's leadership and who are trusting that Sanders is who he says he is.

In most years, it's very hard to defeat an incumbent mayor. But this race will have huge turnout, especially from Republicans and conservatives. Mix in COVID-19 and Planned Parenthood and abortion, and anything could happen in this race.

So what about the top of the ticket? What will happen between President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden? My heart tells me that President Donald Trump will win re-election.

We all know what the polls say. They said roughly the same thing four years ago. Could they be wrong, so very wrong, again? Sure. Is there a silent Trump majority that will turn out huge today? There was in 2016, so why not in 2020?

My heart tells me that Trump will win because this nation should see through what Joe Biden and the Democrats are selling. The country I know and love can't be ready for socialism, and that is exactly what Biden and the left is offering. The media and left will tell us that Trump voters are tired of Trump, but have you met that person? I haven't.

Take away the tweets and the noise and just look at the policy. Trump has done well. Perfect? No, but he has done well and was doing well until COVID-19 took down the economy.

Having said all of that, I think there is a very real chance that the President loses. Not because he should, but because of the last five years of complete B.S. from the media and Trump's enemies.

For Trump's entire term, he's been called a racist, a homophobe, Hitler, and more. He was called a Russian puppet and impeached in the U.S House for nothing. And sadly enough, many people believe it all. They believe he is the worst human on Earth because that's what the media and the left has taught people to believe for years now.

The president will also be blamed by many for the pandemic we are living through. Don't doubt this. Many people are worried. Many people are scared to death of COVID-19 and they want life to go back to normal. And what are they hearing? That the president hasn't done enough. Cases are on the rise, and while Joe Biden hasn't offered anything different as a plan, there will be some who believe he can handle the crisis better than Trump.

Joe Biden certainly hasn't earned anyone's vote. The man has kept himself and his Vice Presidential pick hidden from public. Biden has served the nation for 47 years and never fixed anything, but now he has the answers? I don't think so.

The last four to five years of media lies have me worried. Rising cases of COVID-19 have me worried. Many who say they will vote against the president claim they just want calm in America. But are they really thinking that through? The Democrats are the ones calling for defunding of the police. The Democrats and Joe Biden have embraced the rioting of Black Lives Matter and Antifa. And somehow Biden will bring about calm? I don't think so.

My heart is pretty confident in a Trump win. My mind is not as confident.

I believe we will know the winner tonight or in the early morning hours of Wednesday. It's of course possible that it could drag on a day or two, but I don't see this as a long, drawn-out election where we won't know the winner for weeks to come. I'm not sure our nation could handle that. My hope is that we will not see violence in America, but if there is a long drawn-out election or if Trump wins, I think we will see some of our cities burn.

More predictions and analysis during today's edition of The Chad Hasty Show from 8:30-11 a.m. on KFYO. And don't forget about KFYO's Election Night Coverage starting at 7 p.m.

I'll finish this up by asking you to do two things. First, if you have done your research into the candidates, go vote. Second, pray for our nation. No one knows what the next few hours, days, or weeks will bring. Whoever wins, we will need more prayer, I believe.

God Bless America.
