Crimes against the elderly are an unfortunately common occurrence nowadays, so it's great when you hear a story about the elderly fighting back.

In Pennsylvania, an 89-year-old woman and her friend were accosted by two robbers outside a pizza place. The robbers made off with the friend's purse, but before they could get away, the 89-year-old hit the car's trunk with her cane so hard it left an imprint. Police later found the car, thanks in part to the imprint the cane left on the car, and the two robbers were arrested.

For a cane to leave a dent so bad it could be easily recognized by the police, this was either a really heavy-duty cane, or a really tough grandma. Either way, bravo to this woman for having the courage to fight back.
