We've all seen them. Those people who think that talking on their cell phones requires them to shout over everyone in the room.  They can be pretty annoying, but one woman's phone call cost her a ride in New York City.

A passenger on New York's Metro North train line recorded this woman yelling at a train conductor for asking her to lower her voice and to stop using profanity during her cell phone call. The woman's defense? She was "too educated" to be kicked off the train.  She repeatedly told the conductor how "educated" she was, and how the conductor didn't know what schools she went to, and demanded her money back.

So...what does being educated have to do with you being too loud on a train? And I'd like to think an educated person wouldn't use profanity in a regular conversation.  The whole thing is pretty ridiculous, and the woman made an absolute fool of herself.

After the altercation, the conductor came over the loudspeaker and reminded passengers to keep their conversations quiet, "...especially those people who went to Harvard or Yale or are from Westport."
