Tuesday on KFYO Mornings the President and CEO of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Eddie McBride joined Dave King and Matt Martin to talk about news affecting the Chamber such as tax cuts, as well as upcoming events such as the Uncorked Wine Event and Dinner, the Ag Luncheon, and the annual Barbecue.

McBride started the discussion by talking about the tax cuts and how they have positively affected local businesses. He says companies are able to give their employees small bonuses and that about 71% of chamber businesses have said that it has had a positive impact on their business.

Eddie also talked about several upcoming events such as the Uncorked Wine Dinner on Thursday, April 12th. This event starts in the evening and features various wines that will be paired with different foods. They also have the Uncorked Wine Event on Friday, April 27th. When asked how much wine there will be, Eddie said, "We're going to have probably the same amount, if not a few more, but we are going to concentrate on Texas wines this year." He went on to say, "The original intent was to celebrate grape growers, to celebrate wine makers, and celebrate folks, like us, that are wine drinkers. So it will give us all something to celebrate." The event starts at 5 PM.

Two more upcoming Chamber events include the Salute to Ag Luncheon and the annual Barbecue event that will take place on the fair grounds on October 11th.
