Early Voting Begins Monday For The May 4, 2019 Election
Early Voting begins on Monday for local elections throughout Texas. There are no elections for the City of Lubbock or Lubbock ISD on May 4th. However, other school districts within Lubbock County will have elections. On the ballot though for Lubbock County citizens is a bond election for roads in Lubbock County.
The $99.6 million dollar bond election would pay for improvements throughout Lubbock County including Woodrow Road. County Commissioners have claimed that the bond election will not raise taxes in the future.
Slaton, Abernathy, and residents in Ransom Canyon will all be voting in Mayoral elections. In Slaton, residents will also be casting ballots for the future of the Slaton Economic Development Corporation.
Early voting begins Monday, April 22 and runs through Tuesday, April 30th. Election Day is Tuesday, May 4th. There are numerous voting locations throughout Lubbock, including most United Supermarket locations.
