Original story: The building is up and the big drive-thru is paved. Dutch Bros. Coffee is getting closer and closer to opening in Lubbock. Now they just need employees.
This Saturday, Dutch Bros. Coffee is holding a hiring event in Lubbock from 10:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. They will be conducting interviews at the Hyatt Place Lubbock Hotel located at 2309 Mac Davis Lane. In order to interview, Dutch Bros. Coffee is asking that you register for a time here.
You can also apply on their website if you can't make it out on Saturday.
Speaking of their website, they have another location in Lubbock labeled 5212 Slide Road 79414. That just happens to be the location of at least one business that has been torn down along Slide. We have heard that there would be two locations so this could be the second location of Dutch Bros. Coffee in Lubbock.
The first location of course is on 19th Street and Loop 289 next to Fazoli's and what will be another location of Shipley Do-Nuts. Racer Classic car wash just recently opened in that corner as well.
Not only is Dutch Bros. Coffee new to Lubbock, it's new to Texas. According to their location map, only one Texas location is open, while two more, including the Lubbock location, are currently under construction.
Dutch Bros. Coffee opened its doors in 1992 and is currently the largest privately-held drive-thru coffee chain in the United States. Two brothers of Dutch descent founded the company in Grants Pass, Oregon, according to the company website
Dutch Bros. Coffee is scheduled to open later in April and we can't wait.
