Crews Perform Controlled Demolition of KCBD TV Tower
Crews took down the remaining portion of the KCBD 11 television tower Thursday after it was damaged by a single-engine plane Wednesday night.
The plane, piloted by Dr. Mike Rice of Lubbock, hit the tower's guy wires Wednesday night (Feb. 4) at around 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Rice died in the crash. No other injuries or deaths were reported.
