Cooler Weather Is On Its Way To Texas
It's been a hot summer in Texas with most of the state seeing many days of triple digit heat and that heat isn't done yet. In fact, here in Lubbock at least one forecast shows Lubbock hitting 110 degrees.
But don't worry, relief is on the way. In fact, really cold weather is on its way months from now if you believe the Farmers' Almanac. For over 200 years the Farmers' Almanac has been publishing forecast and this week the publishers released their forecasts for the 2023-2024 winter season, and according to the Farmers' Almanac, the "Brrr is Back" this winter.
While the northern panhandle of Texas appears to fall into the "Cold, Average Snowfall" the rest of Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas fell into the "Unseasonably Cold, Stormy" category.
Of course that doesn't automatically mean that Lubbock will be covered in ice and snow all winter long, but it's at least one forecast that shows it's best to be prepared.
If nothing else, it at least gives us some hope that the hot temperatures will be leaving us, at some point. And then this winter Texans will wish for warm weather to return.
