Monday on Lubbock's First News, Congressman Randy Neugebauer discussed the upcoming deadline to sign up or opt out of the Affordable Care Act, the missing plane, and recent developments with Crimea.

Neugebauer noted the approaching deadline, that will occur at the end of March, to be signed up or opted out of the Affordable Care Act. He said that now people are trying to figure out who the deadline applies to. He observed that many are waiting to see if President Obama will grant a deadline extension to some. He said that because many have not signed up for the service, "That's going to have a financial impact on how successful this program is going to be."

Neugebauer also briefly discussed the missing plane and the situation in Crimea and Russia. He will be hosting an Academy Forum at the Science Spectrum on March 31 at 7:00 p.m. for those who have an interest in joining a military academy. He said, "This is really about leadership training."
