We've all seen them, those people who insist on wearing their pajama pants everywhere they go. They were all over the place when I was student at Texas Tech, and I had no problem with it. But apparently, some people do.

A commissioner in Louisiana is trying to ban people from wearing their pajamas in public. The commissioner said he got the idea after seeing some people at Wal-mart wearing loose-fitting pajamas that were "revealing and showing their body parts." Now, he is planning to introduce the ordinance banning the "offending" clothing, and to start a letter-writing campaign to major department stores like Target and Wal-mart. (And tell them what? To stop carrying pajamas?)

If you're a city official, and you think your biggest problem in your city is whether or not people should wear pajamas in public, you've either already solved all of the other problems in your city or you're doing your job wrong. Couldn't you spend that energy on an issue that's of actual importance to the city?

And trust me, loose-fitting pajamas are not the worst thing a person can wear to Wal-mart. Try looking up "Wal-Martians" on Google and you'll see what I mean...
