
Packages of Drugs Have Been Washing Up On This Texas Beach
On Easter Sunday, it wasn't eggs that Galveston Police were searching for. Instead it was packages of drugs, mainly cocaine, that were washing up on shore on Jamaica Beach.
According to Chron.com, Galveston Police and Jamaica Beach took to social media on Sunday to warn residents against picking up and taking packages that had washed up on the beaches.
Cocaine Washes Up On Texas Beaches
According to the Facebook post and Chron.com, there had been a raid on a ship offshore and the crew of the ship had decided to dump some of "product" overboard as they were being raided by authorities.
For those who went went hunting for the packages, authorities want you to know that it is illegal to pickup drugs on the beach. Instead, if you come across any drugs or anything suspicious on a Texas beach, contact police right away.
