Friday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, Holly Fields, Director of Marketing at the Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences joined Dave King and guest host Jeff Klotzman to talk about setting up the Broadway season, the announcement of Clint and Lisa Hartman Black coming to Lubbock, and other upcoming events at the Buddy Holly Hall.

Fields said that it has been amazing to see how the community has come together for the Buddy Holly Hall, with its multiple theaters and highest acoustical rating possible, and that it has been a pleasure to work there, with her getting the chance to announce 15-20 shows in just the past few weeks.

One of those shows, just announced this morning, is Grammy winning country singer Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black who will perform as part of their "Mostly Hits and the Mrs. Tour". Black has earned 22 #1 career singles, almost 2 dozen gold and platinum awards across the U.S. and Canada, a Grammy, and numerous CMA, ACM, and American music awards. Their show will take place on November 20th, 2021 at 8 p.m., and tickets will go on sale for $35.50 starting next Friday, June 11th.

Fields also announced that, after about 10 years since Broadway has been here in Lubbock, that the Buddy Holly Hall's Broadway season is now in place. You can purchase the season subscription now, and single tickets will go on sale starting in August or September. They will start with "The Buddy Holly Story", which she feels is the perfect show to kick things off with.

Other upcoming shows include "An Evening with Bill Maher" on July 31st, "The Fab Four" tribute to the Beatles on October 13th, "Straight No Chaser" will perform cover songs on November 19th, and "Postmodern Jukebox" on November 26th. Fields said that it will be a really packed schedule from August to the end of the year, and on top of that, they have 2 new announcements to make next week relating to classic rock.
