Civic Lubbock Inc. Hosts 2014 Cultural Arts Grant Workshop

A local organization will host a workshop later this month.

Civic Lubbock Inc. will host the 2014 Cultural Arts Grant workshop on Tuesday, April 29th. The workshop will be held in Rooms 104 and 105 of the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Cultural Arts Grant Program provides local cultural organizations with financial support for projects that promote Tourism and the Arts in Lubbock.

The workshop is free and open to local organizations who are interested in applying for grants for cultural projects that will begin after September 1, 2014.

May 30, 2014 is also the deadline for the first round of grants that will be available at the workshop.

The workshop will cover the program’s guidelines and procedures for the application process.

The program receives funding from the Hotel Occupancy Tax, which is generated from visitors who stay overnight in Lubbock. Additional funding is provided by a grant from the Texas Commission of the Arts.
