Civic Lubbock Inc. will host the 2014 Cultural Arts Grant workshop that hopes to provide local cultural organizations with financial support for projects.
The proposed tax rate is 1.23 cents higher than last year’s rate, meaning that if the rate is ultimately approved, a Lubbock homeowner with a $100,000 home would pay another $12.30 in property taxes. Citizens are invited to share their thoughts with the Council at the meeting.
Civic Lubbock, Inc. will conduct a workshop in preparation for the November 30th deadline for the second round of grants from the 2012 City of Lubbock and Civic Lubbock Cultural Arts Grant Program. The workshop will take place on November 1st from 4-5:30pm in Room 104 of the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center located at 1501 Mac Davis Lane.
The induction ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 27th on the corner of 19th Street and Crickets Avenue, at the site of the Buddy Holly Statue in Buddy and Maria Elena Holly Plaza.
