The City of Lubbock's 3rd Annual Fly & Fling kite flying event will take place Saturday April 21 at McAlister Park.  The event will last from 10a to 4p and families are encouraged to bring out their children.

In addition to family kite flying there will also be a disc (Frisbee) obstacle course, stunt kites, giant kites and hot air balloons.

McAlister Park is located in west Lubbock at the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Milwaukee Avenue.

Professionals and amateurs alike are invited to participate in this family day dedicated to things that fly including Frisbees, hand-made kites, stunt kites, giant kites, and hot air balloons (weather permitting)! Participants of all ages will enjoy this fun-filled day as they fly kites, try out the Frisbee obstacle course, make their own kites and watch one of the best kite teams in the state perform aerial acrobats set to music. Concessions will be available!
