Christmas time is the best time of the year, but have you ever spent the season in the Christmas Capital of Texas?

This place is magical and makes you feel like you're at the North Pole and it just got bigger and better with the expansion of a new attraction for 2022.

The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau is adding a 4,500-square-foot outdoor ice-skating rink on Historic Main Street. This temporary rink will be here for the next three holiday seasons.

How big is it, you ask? It will be a 90-by-50 ice rink right by the concession area on Peace Plaza, 815 S. Main Street.

While the huge Christmas tree will remain at the same location on the plaza, this rink will top off the fun, along with the ornaments, giant reindeer, Victorian coaches, animated characters and more.

Never been to the amazing Christmas capital? This is the year to go. The rink will open on November 18th, 2022 so you'll have plenty of time to check it out. It will be open for 52 days, wrapping up the season on January 8th, 2023.

If that hasn't sold you, Grapevine has more than 1,400 attractions and events happening over the 40 days during their holiday season. Just seeing all the pictures will make you want to go. It starts the day after Thanksgiving and goes through the month of December. Plus, they have delicious drinks and food to eat along with it.

The main station also hosts the North Pole Express. Tickets for that go on sale July 26th, 2022. Mark your calendars now because it could sell out.

These festivities bring in more than a million guests to Grapevine and are definitely something to see with the family to create lifetime holiday memories. Check out Grapevine, Texas' official website if you'd like to learn more about all their Christmas fun.
