Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin Chris Lancaster, Vice President of Operations at Covenant Medical Center joined Dave and Matt for day 4 of the discussions on the differences between Urgent Care Centers and full-fledged hospitals.

The topic of discussion today was the cost of going to different medical facility locations, as well as what would be covered by your insurance policy. Lancaster talked about an easy way to make a decision on what locations to go to. "The easiest thing that I recommend to folks as they're trying to make these decisions is to look at your insurance card," Lancaster said. He explained that  insurance cards will have different categories listed on them, such as 'ER' and Urgent Care, or 'PCP'. He also mentioned that while walk in locations, or PCP, are easier on your wallet, a freestanding Emergency Room can certainly give you peace of mind in emergency situations.
